S0 — non-approved substances
The 2026 source explicitly lists BPC-157. S0 also has a two-part scope: the substance must fall outside another section and lack current approval by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use.
Checking only one or two regulator databases cannot prove worldwide absence of approval for an unnamed substance. That is why the central brief avoids turning “not found here” into an automatic global S0 conclusion.
S2 — peptide hormones and growth factors
S2 contains materially different subclasses. The 2026 source includes growth-hormone fragments such as AOD-9604; growth-hormone-releasing factors and secretagogues such as CJC-1295 and ipamorelin; and growth factors or modulators including thymosin-beta-4 derivatives such as TB-500.
Class wording matters because not every covered substance is individually named. Identity matters because fragments, analogues, agonists, antagonists, derivatives, and ambiguous market names are not interchangeable.
S4 — hormone and metabolic modulators
The 2026 source includes myostatin-related classes, names MOTS-c as an AMPK-activator example, and covers insulins and insulin mimetics in a separate metabolic-modulator subsection.
A therapeutic-use exemption is an individual authorization process; it does not change the prohibited classification of a substance.

The Monitoring Program
The 2026 Monitoring Program includes markers of semaglutide and tirzepatide, plus a qualified GnRH-analogue category. Monitoring tracks patterns of use; it is not the Prohibited List.
That separation is a useful reminder that authorized medicine, prohibited substance, monitored item, and unlisted item are different statuses.
Not listed does not settle every case
A substance is not prohibited merely because it is a peptide. But absence of an exact name is not always decisive because category definitions can cover classes, analogues, fragments, derivatives, mimetics, metabolites, or biological effects.
Exact ingredient and current wording must be checked. A market blend name does not supply that identity analysis.
